WHAT IS VARITALE ALL ABOUT?

This is  VariTale,  where  you can join
with others in  creating  a story.  But
it's not like  any  story  you've  ever
read before!   A VariTale goes wherever
you  and  your  fellow writers  want it
to!  And  if  you  don't  like  the way
it's been  going,  you can  propose  an
alternative path.

Once again, in case we weren't emphatic
enough:  YOU  can  make  the stories go
where you want them to!


EXAMPLES

Let's say somebody writes a rip-roaring
thriller of  an adventure,  but to your
chagrin, he kills off a really neat bad
guy in the third chapter.  What a loss!
If this was a regular book,  you'd just
have to accept what the author decreed.
But in a VariTale, you can write a dif-
ferent version  of that chapter.

Good  bad  guys  are  hard to  come by.
Now you can keep 'em coming back!

Let's say the story is a  romance.  You
decide that they kissed and made up be-
fore anybody could get worried.  Where,
you ask,  is the bitter-sweet  agony of
a tumultuous love affair?  Well, you'll
just have to put some in, yourself!


DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE CRITICS!

Your story entries are  anonymous  (un-
less you  deliberately sign your name).
So you don't have to be a great writer.
What's more,  you can let your imagina-
tion fly!  After all,  it's YOUR story.
Parts of it, anyhow.
