Welcome to "The Lotto Buster". This is another FreeBooter (tm) product
from DSF Associates - P.O. Box 19624 - Portland, OR 97219 - 503-244-4800

The program currently has the Oregon state lottery history. The state changed
it's system to 44 numbers on the first of April. At that time we had to
start the history over again. On other state lotteries it will be necessary
to obtain your lottery history from your state lottery office. This
is usually supplied free of charge. Once you have obtained this history
start with selection F to initialize the lottery history. Enter the
oldest lottery history first but don't go back more than 104 draws.

PLEASE NOTE: Without history this program is valueless.

System Descriptions:

System 12: If the numbers selected have all the winning numbers you
can be assured of a second place win but you could also win four second
places and several third places. If only four of the number occur you can
be assured of winning a third place.

System 14: If you one less than all the winning numbers in the fourteen
selection you will win a least a third place but you could also win four
second places and greater than 20 third places.

System 16: If all of the winning numbers are among the sixteen numbers
selected you can be assured of winning a third place but you could win a
first place plus six to seven second places.

System 18: In this system if all of the winning numbers are among the
eighteen listed you will win a third place but you could also win much much
more.

System 14 contains all the numbers in System 12 plus two additional.

System 16 all those in fourteen plus two more and so on.

On the unregistered disk only the System 12 is available for use.

Considerations in the system selection:

Rule 1. As the value of the system goes up the probability of capturing
all the lottery number will also increase.

Rule 2. As the value of the system goes down the probability of winning
the first or second prize goes up if the winning lottery numbers
are in those that were selected by the computer.

Forecasting the future from empirical data such as lottery drawing is risky
at best. What we are looking for is subtle biases that are built into the
every lottery system. For a complete explanation see the user's manual.

The Selection strategy works with the system selection and governs the way
the system selection draws the numbers. These strategy functions as
follows:

A - This selection will retrieve the lowest hitting numbers in
the past. This selection is for those who believe that if the
number has not been hitting it is "due". We do not encourage the
       use of this selection.

B - This selection is the reverse of A. It chooses the numbers from
the entire available history and sequences them from most often hit
to least hit. This selection contains a mitigating algorithm that
reduces the weighting as history increases .

C - The "hot" sheet algorithm looks at only the last twenty weeks of
history and selects the hottest numbers. This selection seems to
work best for the Oregon Lottery but try selection B before you
       commit yourself.

The manual goes into much greater detail about the selection process and
the exact algorithms that are used to select the numbers for the next weeks
draw.

Initializing the program requires running the configuration program. For
this the LOTTO BUSTER disk MUST be placed in drive A and then type CONFIG.
Then simply answer the questions the computer asks for your preference in
colors and the highest number in your state's lottery. When the config-
uration is complete simply type LOTTO to start the program.

Some computers that are not 100% compatible with IBM may experience diff-
iculty in configuring the files to drives other than A. Should this
occur with your machine then configure the program to drive A, and then
copy the entire disk to the drive that your choice.

If you wish to order the registered disk and manual we are open Monday
through Friday from 8:30 AM -12 noon and 1PM - 5PM. Visa and MC cards are
accepted. The price is $25.00. Please add $1.75 for shipping ($5.00
foreign)
