Print out this READ-FDX.ME file by typing TYPE READ-FDX.ME > PRN and 
pressing the enter key.

The Find-X system is distributed in 5 files:

READ_FDX.ME   This READ*.ME file that gives initial instructions.
FINDX.ZIP     This contains the entire Find-X system in one compressed
              file.
PKUNZIP.EXE   This program extracts the Find-X programs, manual and data
              files from the .ZIP file.
UZIPFDXH.BAT  This batch file directs the operation of PKUNZIP to properly
              extract the Find-X system files on a hard-disk system.
UZIPFDXF.BAT  This batch file directs the operation of PKUNZIP to properly
              extract the Find-X system files on a dual-floppy system.

FIRST PREPARE NEW DISKS

Copy the distributed disk onto a Find-X working disk and store the 
distributed disk in a safe place.

Prepare 4 blank, formatted disks. Label them as follows:
FIND-X1 Program
FIND-X2 Program
FIND-X Data Files
FIND-X Manual

HOW TO EXTRACT THE ZIPPED FILES ONTO THE PROPER DISKS

In the following instructions, {XXX} means to type the command XXX and then
press the enter key.

DUAL-FLOPPY SYSTEM
Insert the FIND-X working disk into Drive B:
Make Drive B: the current drive by {B:}
Then {UZIPFDXF].
Follow the instructions on the screen for inserting disks into Drive A:.
The Find-X System will be copied onto these disks.

HARD DISK SYSTEM
Copy the FIND-X working disk into a new FINDX directory of the hard disk.
Make that the current directory with {CD \FINDX} or similar command.
Then {UZIPFDXH}.
The Find-X System will be copied into the FINDX directory and four 
subdirectories.



After the batch file has unzipped all the files, insert the FIND-X Manual
into drive A: and type out the manual by typing {TYPE FINDXMAN.DOC > PRN} .

Then follow the instructions in the Manual for installing and operating
the FIND-X system.

