NETWORK INSTALLATION

The Student Version of the SPPC is designed to function on a
"local area network" or LAN system that is write-protected.
Installation on such a system is incredibly simple and consists
of the following steps.

  1. Make a working copy of the SPPC distribution diskettes.

  2. Insert the working copy of the SPPC Disk 1 in Drive A of
your microcomputer.

  3. Issue the commands

       A: <cr>
       STUDENT <cr>

  4. Create a directory named \SPPC on your LAN and then copy all
of the working copy SPPC diskettes into that directory.

  5. copy the file on the SPPC Disk 1 named SPPCLAN.BAT onto the
root directory of your LAN system and be sure to rename the file
to be SPPC.BAT.

  6. Once your students log onto your LAN system, they need only
issue the command,

       SPPC <cr>

  7. Once the SPPC is installed on your LAN system, students may
make a personal copy by issuing the commands

       CD\SPPC <cr>
       COPYSPPC <cr>
