Dear Task Master Users:

I am proud to announce the release of a powerful new file
management utility, Task Master, Version 1.0B.

Task Master is, in my opinion (albeit subjective!), the finest
file management utility available at any price. It is designed
to compete directly against XTree Pro and Tree86, both of which
are commercial file managers. Even at the current beta-test stage
of development, Task Master provides many more features and much
more power than do either of these programs. Although Task Master
is also as fast in most operations than its competitors, I'm still
improving the speed of all operations-- by January 1, 1989 I'll
have improved speed to the point where Task Master will beat any
comparable shareware or commercial file manager by at least 25% in
any file or directory manipulation.

I hope that the release of this product will further the concept
of shareware as a viable marketing alternative for commercial
quality programs. I've priced the program ($20.00) lower than
any comparable shareware or commercial file manager, and have
made sure that the number and quality of features offered will
make Task Master the new standard for file management utilities.

Although I've spent quite a lot of time hunting down bugs, If you
encounter a problem, please follow these steps:

	1. Check the user's guide for information about the
command you're using. Make sure you're using the
correct syntax. This should cure most problems.

	2. Write me a letter detailing the type of computer you
have (brand name, model, processor type, memory), the
	    version of DOS you're using (PC-DOS, MS-DOS 2.x, 3.x),
and a complete description of the problem-- i.e. the
the command you used, the command parameters, results
	    and error messages, if any.

In the case of a bug report letter, I'll respond to your letter
within 2 to 3 weeks. I'm sorry I can't supply technical support
by phone at this point. Telephone support will be provided after
December, 1988, when Task Master is released commercially. All
licensed users (see License Agreement in Task Master documentation)
will receive a technical support hotline number when telephone
technical support becomes available.

Thanks for supporting Task Master and the shareware concept!
