    1001 TOPICS FOR COMPOSITION is an educational aid to help you choose a
topic for writing English compositions and essays. The program has 1358
topics in 21 different categories to choose from. Categories include such
subjects as personal reminiscences and reactions, familiar essay topics,
sports, national and international news, science, the arts and
entertainment, philosophy, education, specific literary topics, and more.
Besides having several different subject areas there are categories for
different writing styles, such as comparison and contrast, persuasion,
argumentative exposition, and description. The program first presents a
list of main categories, and once you indicate your general line of
interest, several suggested topics are listed on the screen which you can
scroll through. 1001 TOPICS FOR COMPOSITION can be used as a study aid for
choosing a main topic for your written paper, or it can be used as an
educational tool for pre-writing exercises.

    THE BOOK REPORT PROGRAM asks you several main questions on a book that
you read to help you write a book report. Questions are asked about the
basic library information of the book, the setting, the main character, the
supporting character, the main scene, and your own feelings and reactions
about the book. The advantage of using THE BOOK REPORT PROGRAM is that it
organizes the basic information of the book into simple categories so that
it can be easily incorporated into your final book report. Once you finish
answering the questions, you can print the information or save it to disk.
Once saved to a disk file, the information can be easily changed with an
ASCII wordprocessor to suit your own format.

Usage: Educational Writing Assistance

System Requirements: 128K memory and one floppy disk drive (printer is
optional)

How to Start: Type TOPIC (press enter) to start the 1001 TOPICS,
BOOK (press enter) to start the BOOK REPORT.

Suggested Registration: $15-20 for each program.
