ZDBENCH DIRECTORY README
========================
This is the README file for the \ZDBENCH directory. It tells you about the 
subdirectories in the \ZDBENCH directory.

The \ZDBENCH directory contains the following subdirectories:

THIS DIRECTORY:    CONTAINS: 

DISKETTE           Diskette images for WinBench (R) 96. You can use these 
		   images to create a set of installation diskettes for 
		   WinBench 96.

DOCS               The on-line documentation files for each of the
		   PC benchmarks.

WB96               WinBench 96 Version 1.0 for measuring PC graphics, disk,
		   processor, video, and CD-ROM subsystem performance under 
		   Windows (R). 

WS96               Winstone (R) 96 Version 1.0, an application-based 
		   benchmark of overall PC performance under Windows. 

Each subdirectory contains a README file that gives more specific 
information about that subdirectory. 

NOTE:   Before you use any Ziff-Davis benchmark, you must agree to 
	that benchmark's license agreement. You'll see the license 
	agreement the first time you run any of the benchmarks. 
	We also include the license agreement in each benchmark's 
	documentation.


INSTALLING BOTH BENCHMARKS
==========================
If you received WinBench 96 on CD-ROM, that CD-ROM may contain the 
Ziff Davis PC Benchmarks Installer program. With this installer program, 
you can install both WinBench 96 and Winstone 96, as well as other 
programs WinBench 96 requires, at one time.

If you’re running Windows 95, the installer program starts automatically
if the CD-ROM is in the CD-ROM drive. If you need to start the installer 
program, execute INSTALL.EXE from the CD-ROM’s root directory using the 
File | Run command under Windows.

NOTE:	You can also install each benchmark by executing the benchmark's 
	SETUP.EXE file. For specific installation instructions, see the 
	README.WRI files in \ZDBENCH\WB96 (WinBench 96) and \ZDBENCH\WS96
	(Winstone 96).
