KASSERINE PASS   Febuary 19th, 1943 -

In the early weeks of 1943, the Allies were preparing for an attack to divide
the German forces in Tunisia. In order to forestall this attack, Rommel
launched his own attack on the 19th against the Americans.  While the
Germans at first were successful, they were held up for 2 days in the pass.
This allowed the Americans to withdraw and regroup.
