THE DECEMBER PATCH LIST

The first section of patches are mentioned in Tom McDonald's Extended Play 
column for December (page 289). The second section contains three patches, 
from November's Extended Play, we were not able to include in November's CD. 
The third section are two add-ons you'll find mentioned in our Strategy
Central section (page 316).

  Installation Note: To install these patches, enter the \PATCHES     
  subdirectory on our demo disc. You'll need to copy each patch into  
  each games appropriate directory on your hard drive. You'll need    
  to have a version of PKUNZIP to unzip most of these patches.

^USection 1 - December's Extended Play Column^u

Dawn Patrol v.1.2 (DAWNPUPD.EXE): Includes new SVGA drivers for Trident
Vide Cards and an updated flight model.

Dungeon Master II (DM2UP.EXE): Patch deals with sound problems in both
the demo and final version. 

Flight Unlimted 2.0 (FLIGHT1.EXE): contains two "physics" fixes and two 
video fixes as well as correcting the joystick non-detection bug, a divide 
overflow error when using older mouse drivers, and hat calibration on 
Thrustmaaster and Wingman joysticks. This patch will also add total energy 
compensation to the Grob's variometer. Note: This patch does not fix the
joystick miscalibration bug. They will be releasing a newer version of this
patch as soon as they fix that bug.

Lords of Midnight Patch 1 (LOM-1.EXE): A general maintenance patch.

Mechwarrior 2 Joystick Patches (MW2JPTCH.ZIP): These don't fix all problems,
but take care of drifting on many cases, as well as letting users have a
joystick enabled and still play NetMech.

Rebel Assault v.1.8 (REB18.ZIP): Intended to fix "Unexpected Interrupt"
errors, joystick jumpiness, problems when running on dark monitors, running
sound cards set to DMA 0, and some DOS extender incompatibilities.

SimTower v.1.1 (TOWERW11.ZIP): A general maintenance patch.


^USection 2 - Missing November Extended Play Patches^u

Flight Unlimited MM Beta Update (FPATCH.EXE): Corrects a bug in Flight
Unlimited which prevents Flight from working with the Matrox Millenium
card. This is a beta test version of this patch.

Genie's Curse v.1.1 (GENIE1.ZIP): General maintenance patch.

Megarace Packard Bell Update (MEGAPB.ZIP): Resolves lock ups with the
Packard Bell version of MEGARACE and the Packard Bell sound cards.


^USection 3 - Strategy Central^u

Blackthorne (BT.EXE): Enables the joystick for use in Blackthorne.

Creature Shock (CREATU.SET): The level skip patch that will enable you
to choose whatever level you want to start on.


As with all these patches, make sure you have your original files backed up 
in case you need to reinstall. PC Gamer will not accept any responsibility
