Silent Hunter may require good deal of extended memory. 
You may need to boot up without SMARTDRV and/or load 
NO EMS in the EMM386 or QEMM386 line of your CONFIG.SYS 
file.
(i.e.  "device=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS")
