Description:

The RIP Graphics Conversion Utility is a Windows program which converts
images from many graphics formats to the ICON format used by RIP Paint,
RIP Term and the RIPScript language. This program supports the GIF, PCX,
BMP, DIB, TIF and TGA file formats and creates the ICN file format. This
program was written in Visual Basic 2.0 and requires the file VBRUN200.DLL
to operate.

Installation:

Place the winrip.exe file in the directory where your ICN files are kept.

WINRIP EXE 31536 06-06-93 7:40p

Place the following files in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ directory.

IMVB1 VBX 80656 10-27-92 1:06a

CMDIALOG VBX 18400 10-21-92 12:00a

In addition you may need to aquire a copy of VBRUN200.DLL, available from
most BBS's, and place it in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ directory.

Enhancements and upcomming features:

Speed: I will add a batch mode soon, the program is very slow when
working on larger files, a group of large files can be murder.

I may also port the conversion code to 'C' .

Bugs:

Skewed files, some large files don't convert correctly, the
result is an image with bands of garbage.

This bug will be fixed. Files which are smaller than 255
pixels wide and 255 pixels tall don't seem to have this problem.
