services through the use of personal computers and modems. This service may
consist of time critical information to/from off-site employees, product
information and upgrades for customers, or on-line order placement by
customers. The remote access system is usually automated, runs 24 hours a
day, and requires no human intervention for call servicing. When this remote
access system becomes locked up, employees and/or customers become irrate,
the information is not available, and the company may loose potential
revenues. These lockups can be prevented by installing the FoneALIVE!
telephone monitoring device.

The FoneALIVE! is an intelligent hardware device that keeps unattended remote
access systems available for callers. The FoneALIVE! monitors the telephone
line signals and automatically detects when the remote access system is no
longer available for calls. The FoneALIVE! operates automatically, without
operator intervention, and restarts the failed remote access system when
required. This keeps your remote access system functioning, and protects the
professional image of your business.

The FoneALIVE! works with any unattended telephone system including
internal/external modems, Facsimile machines/modems, and Voice Mail systems.
Just plug the FoneALIVE! unit into a wall telephone jack and a wall power
outlet. Now plug the telephone cord and power cord of the remote access
system into the FoneALIVE! unit. All failure modes of the remote access
system will automatically be detected and temporary failures will be restored
by momentarily removing power to the remote access system. Protection is also
provided to limit power cycles when permanent failures to the remote access
system occur. The product is currently available to BETA testers. Production
