11 January 1997

Mark this day (January 15th 1997) down on your calander! This is the day
The Ledge PCBoard in Los Angeles closes it's doors after 10 years in
operation. The Ledge was the host BBS for this the U'NI-net
International EchoMail Network for it's first 6 years of operation, with
Joseph Sheppard as the International Host of the network. The Ledge will
be missed by all that have visited it over it's 10 years in operation.
It's sysop, Joseph Sheppard will on that day become a caller to the
network. Joe has been a great friend and influence to many including
myself (Charles Shapiro). I have Joe to thank (or is that to blame) <g>
for myself becoming a sysop back in 1988.. Thanks for 10 great years
Joe!

The U'NI-net FTP conference becomes an OFFICIAL conference effective
immediately. Contact cam@camcat.com (Cam Debuck) or doctor@netcom.com
(John Ewin) with any questions.

The NETUSERS conference is renamed to UNI-USERS to avoid confusion.
Seems alot of people think the NETUSERS conference was a place to get
answers on Networks (LAN type networks).
