11 January 1997

Mark this day (January 15th 1997) down on your calander! This is the day
The Ledge PCBoard in Los Angeles closes it's doors after 10 years in
operation. The Ledge was the host BBS for this the U'NI-net
International EchoMail Network for it's first 6 years of operation, with
Joseph Sheppard as the International Host of the network. The Ledge will
be missed by all that have visited it over it's 10 years in operation.
It's sysop, Joseph Sheppard will on that day become a caller to the
network. Joe has been a great friend and influence to many including
myself (Charles Shapiro). I have Joe to thank (or is that to blame) <g>
for myself becoming a sysop back in 1988.. Thanks for 10 great years
Joe!

04 January 1997

Grey Matter BBS located in Seattle Washington replaces The Hotline BBS

American Tune BBS changes it's location AND phone number. The new info
is as follows:

27 December 1996

U'NI-net looses another hub. The Hotline located in Bellevue, Washington
is closing it's doors after 13 years of operation. Best of luck to Jon
Badeaux. He'll be missed and I am sure he'll miss being a sysop.

PCVV Users Group BBS changes it name, location and phone number. The
old & new info is as follows:

Formerly: (OLD info)

Sunrise BBS replaces Trolly Park as hub for the areas listed. Many
thanks to Paul Groth for putting up with us and supplying mail to his
nodes. All of Paul's nodes should be moved over to Sunrise BBS
effective 11-1-96.

11 October 1996

Effective October 13th 1996 Cam Debuck takes over as Network Host
replacing Joseph Sheppard who has taken the net from nothing (6 years
ago) to what it is today! Joe's BBS (The Ledge in Los Angeles will

The U'NI-net FTP conference becomes an OFFICIAL conference effective
immediately. Contact cam@camcat.com (Cam Debuck) or doctor@netcom.com
(John Ewin) with any questions.

The NETUSERS conference is renamed to UNI-USERS to avoid confusion.
Seems alot of people think the NETUSERS conference was a place to get
