  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
WELCOME TO THE NET/2 ECHOMAIL NETWORK, YOUR INFORMATION SOURCE FOR OS/2 WARP!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

PART I ... INTRODUCTION TO NET/2
--------------------------------
Thank you for taking the time to download and read this informational packet
for NET/2, the first network dedicated to OS/2 Warp and all aspects of this
32 bit operating system. We hope that you will find the scope of content and
intent of this network to be to your liking.

The purpose of this network is to become a source of information and knowledge
for as many users of OS/2 and Warp as possible. This end is achieved through
the sharing (echoing) of messages between all member systems. This way, people
in one section of the country (or world) can share their experience with people
not normally available to them.

But, enough of the marketing...

PART II ... NETWORK POLICIES
----------------------------
NET/2 tries to maintain as few as possible guidelines to govern the network.
But, as is with any organization, there are a few ground rules that need to be
maintained in order to efficiently operate. These are:

 1. NO personal attacks of any kind are allowed within the echoed conferences.

 2. Foul and abusive language is strictly forbidden.

 3. The decisions of the conference moderators are final.

 4. Any network host (NC) can assign node addresses within the network. Also,
a network host may break down his/her net into smaller, more manageable
    segments.

These guidelines may be ammended to at any time. Ratification of new rules will
be made in the NET2.ADMIN conference.

PART III ... JOINING THE NETWORK
--------------------------------
To join NET/2, please fill out and send via netmail the NET2NODE.APP file to
your nearest host system. If there is no host system in your area, you can
send your application to your Zone host and a new net will be assigned. The
following is a listing of current host systems:

The Vampyre Bar! BBS (Zone 100/Region 10 Host) 100:100/0 1.301.698.5194

Rename the file to your BBS's name, but leave the extension of .APP before
sending the file.
