MAZE 3.0, a 3D graphics MAZE program. What? Another maze program? No way! There is no other program quite like MAZE 3.0. A brief list of MAZE30's unique features: 1) MAZE allows a three dimensional view during exploration of the maze exactly as is encountered when exploring caves. MAZE provides players many options including use of a compass, and the ability to leave markers in rooms. 2) MAZE automatically recognizes most video hardware and will use advanced palette switching techniques to provide instantaneous video displays for use with EGA or VGA video adapters. 3) Users with PCs incapable of graphics can still enjoy the full capabilities of MAZE through a character graphics mode. 4) Each maze generated is unique. The user can specify any size maze from a 2 by 2 to an 80 by 80 maze. 5) The mazes can be printed afterwards or saved to a file. MAZE will generate IBM graphics characters or common ASCII characters which any printer can print. 6) MAZE has been developed by a professional programmer and has been thoroughly debugged on a variety of different PCs. 7) MAZE contains extensive help screens - all the documentation is available from inside the program. MAZE30.EXE - Self sufficient executable program. Requires 178K free RAM and DOS 2.0 or higher. MAZE should run on all IBM PCs and compatible clones. The original Toshiba 1100 laptop PC has its own somewhat strange attribute assignment for display. If you have a similar non-standard display invoke MAZE with: "MAZE30 x". This should be tried if the display is not readable on your PC. This may be a peculiarity of the older Toshiba Laptop displays. The new ones including the T1000 and T1100, do not seem to have this problem. You are encouraged to pass this program on to others, but please keep all files together and do not modify the program or the documentation.
