RemotelyAnywhere is a simple yet powerful remote administration/control utility
for Windows NT. It allows you to start/stop services, create and terminate
processes, reboot the machine, take control of the keyboard and mouse and more
directly from your web browser.

Please read the file License.html before running the software!

For instructions on how to upgrade from the Beta releases see the Upgrade
section in this file.

Quick Start
-----------

After unpacking the ditribution archive you should have the following files:

RemotelyAnywhere.exe - The main executable
psapi.dll - Process Helper DLL
readme.txt - This file
License.html - Software License
RemotelyAnywhere.html - The Documentation

To install RemotelyAnywhere, type "RemotelyAnywhere -Install" in the directory
where the main executable is.

This will create the RemotelyAnywhere service, and create the default registry
settings. Now you can start the service from the Control Panel or from the
command line by typing "NET Start RemotelyAnywhere".

You can then access RA from your web browser by pointing it to
http://localhost:2000. You'll need to enter an administrator's name and
password to log on.

Please see the file RemotelyAnywhere.html for further information.

Upgrading from previous releases
--------------------------------

If you are upgrading from one of the Beta versions, you can follow these
instructions:

Go to the RemotelyAnywhere installation directory. Stop the service by typing
"NET STOP RemotelyAnywhere". Type "RemotelyAnywhere -Uninstall". Reboot your
computer. Delete all files related to RA, including the .DLLs and the Web
subdirectory. (If there's one: it was only used by Beta 1.) Copy the new
RemotelyAnywhere files into their final destination. Type
"RemotelyAnywhere -Install". You can start the service by typing
"NET START RemotelyAnywhere".

Check the file RemotelyAnywhere.html for a summary of changes from the previous
releases.

Uninstalling RA
---------------

To uninstall RA, stop the service and type "RemotelyAnywhere -Uninstall".
After this completes, manually delete the files that came with RA.
