With this player you will have a means of viewing, or playing all of the files contained on the CD. This includes Movies, Animations, Sound files, and Graphic pictures (drivers included). Requirements ------------ Windows 3.1, VGA (SVGA recommended), Sound board (optional). The Movies ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The movie files have an extention of ".AVI". To play a movie file, click on the Movie Icon, then click on the "Drives, Directories, Files" windows to move around the CD. When you see files appear in the "Files" window, you can then select and play any file shown. To select a file, either double click on the file, or highlight it, and press ENTER. Controls ******** On the bottom of the Movie window will be a set of controls. These controls operate in the same manner as a VCR. You have "Play, Pause, Next, Back, Rewind, Forward, and Stop". You may resize the movie window two different ways. 1. Click on the Maximize or Minimize buttons. 2. Use the "Border" resize control. The movie will be automatically resized to fit the new window. To start a new movie, just go and click on the "Control" window to select another file. The Animations ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The animation files have an extention of ".FLI .FLC or .DIB" To view an animation file, click on the Animation button and repeat the above process for locating files. Controls ******** The animation window has five main controls, "Go, Pause, Stop, Full screen, and Speed". These controls have Stop light icons and of course the green light means "Go", yellow means "Pause", and red means "Stop". The forth icon represents "Full Screen". This option allows you to view the animation using the complete screen, otherwise, you can only view it in the start up window. Click ANY key to return from full screen. The last control, Speed, lets you adjust the speed of the animation as it plays. You can only go so fast and so slow, each one depends on the individual file. To return to the NORMAL speed of the animation, double click on the animation itself. This will also show you the animations normal speed, frames, and type of file. The Graphic Pictures ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The graphic files have an extention of ".GIF .PCX .BMP .TGA". To view graphic files, click on the Picture icon, and then use the same above process to find the files. Controls ******** To view the graphic picture full screen, click on the Maximize button. To Zoom in and out of the picture, use the slider control in the upper left corner. Double click on the graphic picture itself to return to the normal viewing size. You can remove the scroll bars by clicking on the "Scroll" button. To Print a graphic picture, click on the "Print" button. Then you can either select "Print" to accept the default settings, or you can enter in your own X and Y scales and position it to any place on the printer. The best way to find out what you want is to just play around with the settings until you find something you like. The printer defaults to the one you already have setup inside Windows. What graphics you can view, depends on your video equipment. Most graphics today are either VGA or SVGA. Sounds - Music ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sound files have an extention of ".WAV or .MID" To listen to any of these files, you must have a SOUND card installed on your system. Click on the Sound icon, and then select a sound file. Controls ******** You have "Play", "Pause", "Stop", "Rewind" and "Volume" controls with the sound files. The volume controls are for WAV files only! If you like, you can play a movie, animation, or graphic file in the foreground while the music plays in the background. To do this, just minimize the sound window, or just play the other media on top of the sound window. Tagged Files ----------------------------------------------------------------------- By tagging files, you can play one file after the other automatically! This includes playing different formats.. Movies, Sound, etc.. and in any order you like. To do this, click on the Tagged icon, then click on the files you want. They will be added to the tagged list in the tagged window. To RUN the list, just click on the "Run" icon on the Tagged window. You can remove any file from the list by highlighting the file and then clicking on "Remove". Or you can clear the complete list and start over again by clicking on "Clear". CLOSE this window if you want to play them individually again.
