Hello Tai. Below are instructions for making hotkeys to open an application. 1. Open "Windows Explorer" ([Windows key]+[E]). 2. Open the following folders in succession "C:, Windows, Startmenu, programs". 3. Arrow through the "List view" of available shortcucts found in the "Startmenu". If you wish to create a hotkey for "Internet Explorer", highlight it, using the arrow keys. 4. Open the properties for the "Shortcut" ([Alt]+[Enter]. 5. You are now placed in the "General properties dialog box" for the shortcut. Press [Ctrl]+[Tab], one time, to display the "Shortcut" page. 6. Once the "Shortcut" page is displayed, [Tab] across, until you reach the "Shortcut key: Hotkey" field. Be very careful in this field, any key you now press, will be used as a hotkey, for opening up the application. It is good practice, to use the [Alt]+[Ctrl]+[First letter of apps name], as the hotkey combination. so for "Internet Explorer", the hotkey combination will be "[Alt]+[Ctrl]+[I]. 7. Once you have edited the page as needed, [Tab] over to the "Ok" button and press [Enter] to Save/Close the dialog box. You'll go through basically the same steps, for defining a hotkey for an application shortcut, found on the "Desktop". simply highlight the "Programs Icon", and follow the steps above, to open its properties. If you have any further questions, just Email. At 04:05 PM 1/10/98, you wrote: >Hi listers.
