QFE Fix for Microsoft Personal Web Server

The version of the Microsoft Personal Web Server included in the public beta
of FrontPage 97 was designed to run only on a newer version of Windows 95 shipped
by computer manufacturers. Thus, if you have loaded the Microsoft Personal Web
Server included with the Beta on your regular Win95 machine, an incompatibility
arises when you try to drag and drop, resulting in a crash. The QFE fix will
check your operating system version and the version of the relevant file
(RPCRT4.DLL) to determine if an incorrect Win 95 language or an incorrect
version of the DLL has been installed on your machine. If it detects an error,
the QFE fix will correct the problem. If an error is not present, you will
receive a message that the QFE fix is not necessary.

Double-click the file pwsfix1.exe in this folder to run the QFE fix.

Installing the Microsoft Personal Web Server contained in this final release version
of Microsoft FrontPage97 does not fix the problem, therefore the QFE fix must be run
if the public Beta version of the Microsoft Personal Web Server was installed.
