Getting More Information
This chapter describes how to get information on using HiJaak Graphics Suite. 
It briefly lists the online files that will help you use the Suite effectively. It also explains how to access 
context sensitive Help, Troubleshooting Help and the Help files for each product. Finally, it explains 
how to move from one topic to another in the Help files.
Available Online Reference Files
HiJaak Graphics Suite Help is a series of online Windows help files that contain information on all features 
and options in each of the HiJaak Graphics Suite programs. These Help files also contain 
information on using HiJaak Graphics Suite with other applications. You can run HiJaak Help by 
selecting it from the Help menu in any HiJaak Graphics Suite program or by pressing the F1 key on 
your keyboard. You can also run HiJaak Help by clicking on the Help button or pressing F1 in any 
dialog box in HiJaak PRO, HiJaak Browser or HiJaak Smuggler. HiJaak Graphics 
Suite Help also briefly describes each HiJaak-supported file format. It is located in the INSET 
directory.
Troubleshooting, Tips and Tricks is an online Windows Help file that contains solutions to common problems you 
may encounter when using HiJaak Graphics Suite. It also contains tips and tricks for getting the best 
possible graphics files from HiJaak PRO, including information on transferring 
graphics files to Macintosh systems. This help file is located in the INSET directory.
ReadMe is an online ASCII text file that lists and describes all of HiJaak 
Graphics Suite's online documents. HiJaak Graphics Suite comes with many additional online 
documents covering specific details of program use. These documents contain technical information 
on topics such as networks, system integration and multi-platform use. This file is located in the 
INSET directory.

Accessing HiJaak Graphics Suite Help
HiJaak help provides information for using each of the products in the Suite. 
Context sensitive help is available from any dialog box in HiJaak PRO, HiJaak Browser 
and HiJaak Smuggler; it provides information on using the active dialog box. Each help file contains 
hypertext links which allow you to jump between topics. The help files also contain browse buttons 
which allow you to move through a series of related topics.
How to Run Windows Help from Program Manager
1 Click once on the File menu to pull it down. Click on Run. You will see the Run 
dialog box.
2 Type the path to the Windows Help program file followed by 
WINHELP. For example, if the Windows Help program file is in 
C:\WINDOWS, type the following:
C:\WINDOWS\WINHELP
Click on OK.

How to Run a Specific Help File from Program Manager
1 Click once on the File menu to pull it down. Click on Run. You will see the Run 
dialog box.
2 Type the path to the Help file followed by the file's name. For example, if the 
you want to the file HJPRO.HLP and it is located in the C:\INSET 
directory, type the following:
WINHELP C:\INSET\HJPRO.HLP
Click on OK. The Windows Help program opens with the 
selected file displaying in the Main screen.

How to Use Context Sensitive Help
Context sensitive Help is available from any dialog box in HiJaak 
PRO, HiJaak Browser and HiJaak Smuggler; it provides detailed information on the 
options in the active dialog box. To access context sensitive Help from a dialog box, click on the Help 
button or press the F1 key on your keyboard.
How to Access Troubleshooting Help
Double-click on the Troubleshooting icon located in the HiJaak Graphics Suite 
program group. This icon opens the HiJaak Graphics Suite Troubleshooting Help file which contains 
a topic for each program in the Suite. 
From the program for which you want troubleshooting help, click once on the 
Help menu and click on Troubleshooting. You will see troubleshooting help specific to the program 
you are using.

Navigating Help, later in this chapter. 

How to Access Each Program's Help
1 From HiJaak PRO, HiJaak Browser, HiJaak Paint and HiJaak 
Draw, pull down the Help menu. From HiJaak Smuggler, click once on the Smuggler icon. The 
following options may be available:
Contents/Index Select this option to view a list of the topics in 
the Help file. 
How to Use Help Select this option to open the Windows Help 
file that describes how to use help.
Troubleshooting Select this option to open the Troubleshooting 
Help file. This file provides information on problems that you might encounter while using the 
program.
About Select this option to view the About box for the active 
program. The About box may contain the following information: copyright information, version 
number, date, licensee, serial number, Windows operating mode, available memory and system 
resources.
2 Click on the menu item that brings up the information you want.
How to Print the Active Topic
Click once on the File menu to pull it down. Click on Print. The active topic is sent 
the printer you have set as the default in Windows.
Navigating Help
Windows Help offers various methods for moving between topics. Hypertext 
links allow you to jump from one topic to a related topic. All of the HiJaak help files contain 
hypertext links. Each program also contains a button bar across the top of the help screen. This 
button bar allows you to move to the table of contents of the help file, search for topics based on 
keywords, move forward and back to topics you have viewed, access HiJaak Graphics Suite and 
Troubleshooting help, and browse through related topics.
How to Use Hypertext Links
Hypertext links allow you to move from one topic to another in the Help file. 
Hypertext links appear underlined and in green on color monitors.  Note that whenever the cursor is 
over a hypertext link, it changes to a hand icon. To move from one topic to another, place the cursor 
over a hypertext link and click the mouse button. 
If the hypertext link is double-underlined, a new topic will open. To move to the previous topic, click 
on the Back button at the top of the screen.
If the hypertext link is single-underlined, you will see a pop-up box that contains information about 
the underlined word or words. To close a pop-up box, click anywhere on the help screen. 

How to Use the Button Bar
Click on the button in the status bar that opens the topic you want to view. The 
HiJaak Help files may contain the following buttons in the button bar:
ContentsClick on this button to go to the table of contents of the 
open Help file.
SearchClick on this button to open the Help Search dialog box. 
For more information on using this dialog box, see How to Search by Keyword, later in this 
chapter.
BackClick on this button to move to the last open topic.


HistoryClick on this button to open the Windows Help History 
dialog box. This dialog box contains a list of the topics you have viewed. To move to one of the topics 
listed in this dialog box, double-click on that topic.
<<Click on this button browse through the help file. This 
button moves to a previous related topic. If there are no related topics before the current one, this 
button is disabled.
>>Click on this button browse through the help file. This 
button moves to the next related topic. If there are no related topics after the current one, this button 
is disabled.
HJ Graphics SuiteClick on this button to open the table of 
contents of the HiJaak Graphics Suite Help file. 
TroubleshootClick on this button to open the Troubleshooting 
Help file for the active program.

How to Search by Keyword
Each of the HiJaak Help files has been keyworded so that you can search for a 
specific topic. The following procedure describes how to use HiJaak Help to search for a specific 
entry.
1 From the application on which you want Help, pull down the Help menu and 
click on Contents. You will see the program's Help file.
2 Click on the Search button located in the Status bar. You will see the Search 
dialog box.
3 Type the first couple of letters of the word on which you want to search. As 
you type, the highlighted keyword in the scroll box changes to represent what you are typing. If the 
text that you are typing is not in the scroll box, the word closest to what you are typing is highlighted.
4 When the keyword on which you want to search is highlighted, click on the 
Show Topics button. You will see a list of topics related to that keyword in the lower portion of the 
dialog box. 
5 Click on the topic you want to view and click on the Go To button. The Search 
dialog box closes and the topic you selected opens.
