Yet another network has started! This one is called ShadowNet. I know
there must be 5 or 6 other networks by the name of ShadowNet, but it
goes along with my BBS and everything. Anyway, here is a short
description of ShadowNet, and what it has to offer!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
ShadowNet started as a small local network in Terre Haute, Indiana by a
14 year old SysOp by the name of Eric Holt. I started ShadowNet just
for fun at first, then decided to bring it to a larger level. ShadowNet
is still FUN, but now we are InterNational. The only BBS's in ShadowNet
currently are a few local ones from here in Terre Haute, IN. I am
hopeing to make ShadowNet a very large, nice network. We have over 50
message areas of all differnt kinds. We even have two networked BBS
games. They are BRE and Arrow Bridge. Currently ShadowNet is just a
FidoNet compatible network. I am trying to set it up as a QWK network
also. OH! I am also in the process of setting up a TICK PROCESSOR for
TIC files to be sent from BBS to BBS! Since I am only 14 years old, and
it is still winter, I do not have a job. I mow lawns in the summer, and
make a good sum of cash for just mowing lawns. Until summer comes
around, I will not make any Long Distance calls. I know this will turn
some people off, but as soon as it gets to summer, and I start making
some money, LD is off limits... <grin> To get more information about
ShadowNet, you can file request SNET from FidoNet address 1:2230/11 or
by calling the Wildcat! Support BBS and downloading SNET0395.ZIP, or my
BBS at 812-894-2273. Thanks for reading this information about
ShadowNet, I hope you are interested and want to join!!!
