The Aurora Network (ANET) works on the same idea as FidoNet style
networks with one different idea. Instead of HUBS we call them SERVICE
STATIONS, and NODES are called EXITS -- Yes you have guessed it 'ANET' is
an actual highway. 'ANET' is the Information Highway equivalant of the
TransCanada Highway and our goal is to span Coast to Coast by the year
1996. Yes we know that does not give us much time to reach this goal
but we will try one board at a time. We will offer a service unique
to Canada and the United States. It's about time a free network with
so much to offer rises about the crowd, and we can say that The Aurora
Network is just that network.

History
~~~~~~~
The Aurora Network started as the London Renegade Support Network (LRGSNET)
in October of 1994.  LRGSNET offered 4 basic message bases concerning Renegade
and also offered a INTERBBS Barron Realm Elite Leauge.  The response of
this "RENEGADE ONLY" network was overwhelming and 4 sites where chosen
as test sites with what was going to be a successful exchange of mail and
InterBRE packets.  In December of 1994 the both sysops from Northern Lights
and Tryple X BBSes (London, On) decided that the Network should be expanded
to cover a larger area and allow other boards besides RENEGADE to join in
and enjoy the MAIL and INTERBRE so on 01 January 95, 'ANET' was launched.
Services
~~~~~~~~

There are two services offered by 'ANET' the first is the ECHOMAIL which
consists of a numerous collection of conferences to suit any one person
and lifestyle. The other service is an InterBBS Online Games service
which at time consists of Barron Realms Elite and Arrowbridge. This
service allows your users to play against users from across your city or
across the country.
