TransBook: You Can Judge This Book By Its Cover:
TransBook is the latest member of the Artic "Trans" Family of portable
Speech and Screen Access devices for Blind Computing. It looks like a
TransPort to which a 20 key sculpted keypad has been added on the top, but
this amazing device is much more than a portable speech/computer access
system! It is also a talking book system with removable memory cards for
data storage. Load a book, business report, school notes or whatever you
like into a memory card and access it any time and any place using the
TransBook keypad. The optional Personal Data Assistant expands TransBook's
remarkable functionality even further and includes a calculator, phone book,
calendar, alarms, stopwatch, to-do lists, index cards, and more.

Naturally TransBook performs all of the functions of TransPort and has
Business Vision stored in ROM for quick transfer to your computer. Plus,
TransBook's keypad acts as a Business Vision Gizmo pad with turbo functions.
TransBook comes standard with a 190K RAM disk and a 256K programmable ROM
disk. Additionally, the 256K system ROM can be updated by the user. To
enhance its portability, TransBook's rechargeable NiCad batteries are
removable. Extra battery packs and a quick charger are available.

Get The Artic Spirit:
SPIRIT - A new low cost portable Speech and Sceen Access system for Blind
Computing. In the spirit of Artic's comitment to bring more products to the
blind computing field .... SPIRIT is for those people who don't require all
of the advanced features of Transport or those with a restricted budget.

Make no mistake ... SPIRIT is not some toy in a plastic case. It is a
professionally engineered product in a rugged metal case with both parallel
and serial interfaces, software controlled set-up (no DIP switches!), large
input and speech output buffers, Artic's ATS-1 text-to-speech algorithm,
and system memory that can be updated by the user. SPIRIT's low power
consumption means a good day's work on a single battery charge ... and
recharging doesn't generate excess heat which can decrease the lifespan of
the electronics.

Gizmo2 Is All New:
Its functionality and access in any situation made our original Gizmo pad a
great success. Now we've taken this popular accessory even farther with
Gizmo2.

The basic Gizmo2 employs high-quality computer keys in a sculpted, 4" x 4"
keypad. A molded cable connects Gizmo2 to the Turbo port on a SynPhonix or
TransPort synthesizer ... ensuring you access to the system, regardless of
what the application does to the keyboard.

The advanced Gizmo2 provides the above, plus a built-in speaker, headphone
jack, volume control, six foot pedal jacks, and one foot pedal. The foot
pedals control familiar options such as forward and reverse Turbo functions,
plus new and exciting features like triggering macro functions.
