                             WORDPERFECT WORKS
                          COMMANDS AND SET FILES

GW Micro, Inc. thanks Marshal Pierce for a thorough job of
creating these WordPerfect Works .SET files and this accompanying
document.

Remember, you can change any of the default values supplied here.
This is simply meant to get you started.

WordPerfect Works (WW) is a multi faceted program, that comes up
with two menus on the screen. You can use the ALT key to
alternate between the two menus. Therefore the ALT key cannot be
used for review access. I changed the access of review to
SCROLL-LOCK so that I could use the ALT key as my menus access
hot key.

I then set the left and right arrow keys to say the current word,
instead of the current character. This allows the light-bar to
be spoken as you arrow across the menu choices. Both menus are
spoken by alternating the active menu by using the ALT key to
switch between the two menus. Then all you have to do is press
enter when the desired choice is spoken. The other way that
choices can be made is to type the first letter of the item of
interest. When on the program menu this will load the program
that was just spoken. When on the WW shell menu it will allow
you to alter the way the WW program works.

The WordPerfect Works program also has on line help. This help
is accessed by pressing the F-3 key. A separate set file is used
to make the help work automatically. This set file is loaded by
the hyperactive window "A", and is called "WW-HELP.SET". In the
WW-HELP set file there are several hyperactive windows set to
automate the speaking of the help information. You can get the
list of help items re-spoken by hitting an ALT-4, and the ALT-5
will re-speak the reminder to press the letter of your choice.
Once a letter has been chosen the hyperactive window will speak
the whole screen, or you can press the ALT-0 to have the screen
respoken.

 SPREADSHEET SET FILES AND COMMANDS

THERE ARE FOUR DIFFERENT SET FILES USED IN THE SPREADSHEET
OPERATION. THE MAIN SET FILE IS CALLED SS.SET, and it is
designed to work with the operation of the spreadsheet and its
plane windows, It also has several hyper windows, used to load
other set files, and to have the messages spoken automatically.
These plane windows are as follows:
1. Window 0, is the main work sheet area and is set to read
only rows 3 through 21, and column 5 through 80.
2. Window 9, is set to read rows 24 and 25 in there entirety,
this is the status line, and is spoken by an ALT-S key.
3. Window 8 is the edit line, it encompasses the entire line,
and also has the address of the cell, and this is where the
equation is displayed.
4. Window 7 is line 22 in its entirety, this tells the operation
that is being performed.
5. Window 6 has just the cell address in it, and consists of
only the first five characters of line 23.
6. Window 4 is the floating window. This covers line 3 and 4 of
the main work sheet. This allows the user to set a two-word
column label. Windows 4, 0, and 6 are chained together so that
as you move through the spreadsheet, ample information is spoken.
These are activated by the use of the cursor keys.
All windows can be re-spoken by pressing the ALT and the
corresponding window number.

Hyper windows are set to make the status line and other messages
spoken. Two other hyper windows are set to activate the help
set file, and the window necessary to make the menu bar speak
along with the available help in the menu area.

                             INTERACTIVE HELP
A set file called "SS-HELP.SET" is used to force the interactive
help windows to speak. The use of the cursor keys will move the
highlight bar to the next topic. The second "SS-hel2.set" is to
speak the whole screen, when information is being
presented. You can get the information re-spoken by pressing the
ALT-0 key combination.
