The quicken.cfg file includes the following features:
Zone 1 monitors line 20 which reads the date when either the
Write Checks Screen or Check Register is started and displayed.
Zone 2 monitors and reads line 8 which usually will display items
when specific transactions are searched for. If a transaction
is found on another line other than line 8, it can be read
using the Read-Line function in Artic. Window 1, the active
window, is set for a full screen read so that all menus can be
read properly when the pointer track mode is selected. The
pointer track's function in Quicken is explained below. Window 2
is set up to read reports generated by Quicken. Window 3 will read the
help screens when the F1 key is pressed. In Quicken, the help
facility is context-sensitive. Window 4 reads information
that verifies that an account has been backed up to disk
successfully. Window 9 reads line 25 which
contains the current balance in a given account. Therefore,
one can use either the Alt-9 or Alt-insert key combinations.
Finally, I have set the
pointer track feature to track Graphic Character 16, the Big
Right Arrow symbol. By changing to pointer track mode with
the Alt-x key combination, the up and down arrows can be used
to read menus, select from account, category and transaction
lists, and will also allow for reconciling various accounts.
