                   Business Vision 3.03 & 3.04
                         Wordperfect 5.1
              Smart Zone Configuration Description

These configurations were created on a 386-sx with a VGA video
screen adapter card. The VGA card allowed us to write a color
configuration as well as a black & white one ( monochrome ) in
Wordperfect 5.0 & 5.1. However with one change to Smart Zone nine,
they can be made to work just fine on a XT or AT-286 machines too.
Please note the change for XT & AT machines will be shown in the
Smart Zone nine description.

What is new? First, you have not lost anything that the prior
Wordperfect configurations gave you in Business Vision.

What features have you gained?
In the List File Directory, you can now read one file name at a
time without turning on the bar tracker. From within the directory
you can read a file by selecting Wordperfect's look feature. When
you choose this option, Business Vision will read it to you
automatically. Then you only need to use Visions Docu-pilot
feature to read to the end of the file. Oh yes, when you first
enter the List files Directory, the config will now read lines 24
& 25.

Next the Wordperfect pull down menu's work very well after you make
a small change in Wordperfect's set-up menu. After you boot up
your unit and have entered Wordperfect, press Shift F1. Then press
the number 2 for display. Next press the number 7 and the letter
Y to add a menu bar separator line to the menu which is used to
trigger Business Visions Smart Zone. After that press function key
F7 twice which will take you back to your main screen. Now double
click the Alt key and press the = key. Then Smart zone seven will
trigger after the menu pops up.

Just about all the Wordperfect prompts are spoken to you now
including block on and type over. Even your own input statements
that you would create in Wordperfect's merge feature are now spoken
automatically.

The following paragraphs include a brief description of each zone
beginning with Smart Zone one.

Smart Zone one, is designed to read the highlighted file and lines
24 & 25 when you enter the list files directory. It looks for the
string, Name, on line 25. If found the zone reads window five & 4.

Smart Zone two, looks for any changes between lines 1 and 25 and
also the string, Selection located on line 25. When these
parameters are met the zone triggers and reads window one. This
zone reads you all the menus or help screens in wordperfect.

Smart Zone three, reads to you the proper columns in the Thesaurus.

The zone looks for the string, Clear on line 25, when found the
zone fires and reads window six. Window six is chained to window
seven and seven is chained to window eight.

Smart zone four, strictly looks for the string, File:, shown on
line one. It only appears when you enter the look feature from
within the list files directory. When found the zone triggers and
reads window twenty one.

Smart Zone five, monitors for any color changes between lines 4 and
twenty three. It also looks for the string, Name on line twenty
five. This zone is design to trigger in the list files directory
and read just the highlighted file to you.

Smart Zone six, reads just the Block On prompt. It looks for
blinking text as well as the string, Block, shown on line twenty
five. When found, the zone fires and reads window twenty.

Smart Zone seven, monitors line two for the graphic character
string, 205. This is part of the menu separator bar that you added
for the pop up menu from within Wordperfect set-up. When the zone
finds the string, it fires and reads window twenty two which is
chained to also read window twenty three.

Smart Zone eight, monitors lines twelve through twenty four for any
changes color matches and also looks for the string, Reveal, on
line twenty five. When these settings are met the zone triggers
and reads the zone area.

Smart Zone nine, looks for any color changes between lines one and
eleven after you have invoked the spell check feature of
Wordperfect. It also monitors line thirteen for the string, {.
When both of these requirements are met the zone fires and reads
the zone and window two. The zone reads and spells the misspelled
word.Window two reads and spells the suggested list of replacement
words.
Note: for xt or AT 286 machines you may want to lengthen the delay,
after screen stops, from 2.0 seconds to 3.0 or 4.0 seconds
depending on your own personal preference. Otherwise the total
list of suggested words will not be spoken if this delay is not
lengthen for slower computers.

Smart zone ten, monitors line twenty five, column one through six
for any changes color matches. It also looks for a five space
string on line thirteen. When the zone fires it reads window nine,
( wordperfect's status line ). This zone gets a lot of work.
