Dear Artic 3.03 user:
The PFS Professional Write configuration ( pwm.cfg) was created
on a 286 computer with a mono graphics card and a 101 keyboard.
The (pwc.cfg) color configuration was created on a T-1000 that has
a CGA graphics card. I had to change the screen colors in
Professional Write to get the best results in the Business Vision
configuration running on the T-1000.Therefore I am also including
a copy of Professional Write's PW.set file. This file should be
copied to your Professional Write sub directory. Note: this is
only needed if you use the pwc.cfg configuration on a computer
that has a color graphics card. Users notes:Auto snap is on, the
Artic cursor is on and defined to the enhance key pad. In
keyboard options, the tab key has been toggled to read field data
and titles. Window number one is the active speech window and has
been defined as follows.Top line two, bottom line 23, left column
two, and right column 79. Important keys to remember.Double
clicking the Control and Alt keys. This Artic feature passes the
next key stroke to PFS Write very well.. Alt Insert, reads
Professional Write's status lines, number 24 and 25. Left and
right Shift Keys reads, window seven, the 3270 DOS toggle. After
pressing These two shift keys, it will read line one for you.
Alt slash, reads the high lighted misspelled word.
Control Slash, reads and spells the misspelled word.
Control comma, reads and spells the suggested replacement word
made by Professional Write.
Tab key, reads the field data and field title very well when you
are in your address or phone book.
 Smart Zone descriptions:
Smart Zone one looks for the string definition, Press, on line
seven. All zones are case and color sensitive. The letter P in
the string is capitalized. See your Smart zone manager for
individual screen attributes chosen.
zone two, three, four, and five searches for the string, Select on
various lines in each zone. Once the zone finds the string and
the color matches, the zone triggers and reads the zone.
Smart zones one through five are designed to read Professional
Write's help menus automatically. After pressing function key F1
you normally would not get speech unless you quarried the screen
with one of Artic's keys. If you choose not to hear the menus
spoken, you can turn the smart zones off or replace them with one
you have design for -yourself.
Smart zone six, speaks the misspelled word after you start the
spell checker. The zone searches for color changes between lines
two and seven. It looks for reverse, (black on white). Then it
reads the zone and window twenty one. This screen attribute is
identical in both of Business Visions configurations.
Smart zone number seven, This zone gets triggered quite often. It
reads most of the menu selections that pop up on the screen, such
as, Set-up. Once you've chosen a menu, zone seven will continue to
read the sub menu selections as you cursor up and down. The zone
triggers on color changes, color matches. After triggering the
smart zone reads the zone.
Smart zone number eight, is designed to read warning messages. It
triggers on capitals W & A, foreground color bright white and back
ground color black. After the zone fires, it then reads window
twenty two.
Smart zone nine, this zone looks for the string F, foreground
color bright white & Background color, black on line one. After
the zone fires it reads the zone. This zone will read different
menus that pop up after you have chosen a function key to press
in Professional Write.
Smart zone ten looks for the string F on line one, foreground
color white & background color black. After triggering the zone
reads window number seven. Note:window seven ( line one ) can be
read at anytime just by pressing the left and right Shift keys.
This zone was designed to fire when you get back to your main
screen.Normally you would not know where you are because as you
are escaping back through PW's sub menus you would not get any
speech unless this zone announces line one to you.
