SMODE [directory path][paramteter]
      [filespec][parameter]
     Expands on the PATH statement.
               Parameter Usage
0 Uses standard file locating procedures.
1 If a PATH was specified to start an
                             executable file, the system searches
that dir for data files. If not found
the system search the PATH dirs.
2 The only search dir is the current
                             default dir.
3 If a PATH was specified to start an
                             executable file, the system searches
that dir for data files. It does not
search the PATH dirs, unless the file
is to be opened as read only.
5 The system searches the specified dir
PATH where the program was found. The
                             system then searches the current
default dir and all dirs in the PATH
                             for data files.
7 If executable files are read-only, the
system searches the default dir and all
                             dirs in the search PATH.
