CAP2 Version 1.50 1995.07.14 What is CAP2 ? CAP2 is a Windows 3.x utility which allows you to capture your print to a queue on a Netware server. You can change queue by klick on the new queue. You can only print to a queue that has the right printer. So you cannot print with the wrong driver. What files should I have? The distribution .zip file contains the following files: readme.txt this file cap2.exe executable file printere.fih file with a sample printer definitions You also need VBRUN200.DLL not included, you can find it on most BBS NWNETAPI.DLL from Novell Netware, usually installed in \WINDOWS or in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM. NWCALLS.DLL from Novell Netware, same place as NWNETAPI.DLL Installation: Installation is simple! Place CAP2 in any place on the server or on your local disk. Add CAP2 to windows program manager. Lets say you placed CAP2 in PUBLIC. klick on: File New program command line: Z:\PUBLIC\CAP2 [config file] Use an editor to edit Z:\PUBLIC\PRINTER.FIH to suite your needs. You can also set an dos environment variable called CAP2 to the path of the config file. Like this in autoexec.bat SET CAP2=Z:\PUBLIC\PRINTER.FIH Config file priority: 1. command line in icon 2. dos env. CAP2 3. S:\prog\fih\printere.fih How do I use lpt4-9 ? Use a editor to edit your win.ini file. in the [Ports] section add LPT4:= LPT5:= LPT6:= LPT7:= LPT8:= LPT9:= and in NET.CFG add this line to Netware DOS Requester section network printers = 9 reboot your computer (lpt4-9 works only in windows, dos can only use lpt1-3) New to version 2.50: Can place print into User HOLD. When a queue is not found on default server, try to find it on a nother server, as specified in SERVERS= line. Now CAP2 also uses NWCalls.dll for some functions. Disclimer: CAP2 is distributed as "as it is". It is tested on a Novell Netware 3.12, 4.10 (BINDERY EMUL) and on Portable Netware 1.11e using VLM version 1.20. Registration: CAP2 is not free software!
