Subject: Thomas Conrad Arcnet with IBM PS/2 Model 80 Date: April 12, 1988 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - GENERAL INFORMATION: We were just informed of a conflict between Thomas Conrad ARCnet (for Micro Channel) and drivers, and the IBM Post program in PS/2 Model 80 at 20MHz (as a workstation). The Thomas Conrad drivers are setting up correctly in the C-MOS, then the IBM Post program is not setting the registers correctly to what is in the C-MOS. This only (so far) occurs in the PS/2 Model 80 at 20MHz. This causes the workstation to hang about half the time when trying to access a database server (in this case anyway). Thomas Conrad techs say they are waiting for IBM to change the Post program for the PS/2 Model 80 running at 20MHz.
