CAUTION:    These drivers have received minimal testing and are considered in
            beta form.

These drivers have been enhanced with support for newer PCN2 boards, faster
machines (25-33 Mhz), microchannel boards, and LAN Support program features.

The server drivers correct problems with packet congestion on a broadband
network and occasional GPIs.  They are also self-configuring and can be
selected twice in NETGEN.  

Problems resulting in incorrect node addresses, conflicts with IPX, lost
connections, and lockups or network errors under heavy network traffic have
been corrected in the workstation drivers.

To install this version of the PCN2 file server drivers:
 
1)    Backup your AUXGEN and LAN_DRV_001 diskettes or subdirectories.
 
2)    If you are using IBM LAN Support use the ?PCN2L.OBJ drivers; otherwise
      use the ?PCN2.OBJ drivers.  Copy the files ?PCNL.OBJ or ?PCN.OBJ onto
      your LAN_DRV_.001 diskette or sudirectory.  Copy the file PCN2L.LAN or
      PCN2.LAN onto your AUXGEN diskette or  sudirectory.  
 
3)    Run NETGEN and choose "IBM PCN II & Baseband LAN Support Prog 
      Compatible v1.15 (900905)" for LAN Support OR choose "IBM PCN II & 
      Baseband  v1.15 (900905)".  Regenerate the operating system as you 
      normally would and be sure to replace the old operating system with the
      new NET$OS.EX? files.

To install this version of the PCN2 workstation drivers:

1)    Backup your SHGEN-1 and LAN_DRV_.001 diskettes or subdirectories.
 
2)    Copy the SPCN2.LAN file to your SHGEN-1 diskette or subdirectory. Copy
      the SPCN2.OBJ file to your LAN_DRV_001 diskette or subdirectory.
 
3)    Run SHGEN and select "IBM PCN II & Baseband  v1.15 (900905)."
