TECHNICAL BULLETIN Bulletin 1-276 Date: September 28, 1990 Mirroring Upgrade from NetWare v2.15 Rev. A to v2.15 Rev. C Several NetWare 286 v2.15 Rev. A disk mirroring limitations were addressed in v2.15 Rev. C (See Technical Bulletin 1-254). Some of these limitations occur with the use of disk drives larger than 255MB; NetWare 286 v2.15 did not fully support mirroring large drives until Revision C. In cases where large mirrored drives experienced a failure or shutdown under v2.15 Rev. A and were subsequently remirrored, data corruption may have been introduced by the system. Normally, remirroring the disk drives after upgrading to v2.15 Rev. C will resolve this corruption. In remote cases, data corruption may have been introduced on the primary drive. In these extreme circumstances, it is advised that the disk drives be reinitialized and the data be restored from a reliable backup.
