TECHNICAL BULLETIN Bulletin #1-268 Date: April 27, 1990 Applications Conflict with IRQ 3 If you have a device (such as a mouse) that uses IRQ 3 and you are using shells from NetWare v2.15 revision C, NetWare 386 v3.0, or earlier versions of NetWare, your workstations may hang when you load some applications (such as Microsoft Quick C and Microsoft Basic) which attempt to use IRQ 3. To prevent your workstations from hanging, configure your device to use a different interrupt. The shell driver will be changed to allow use of IRQ 3 in a future release. (Note: this subject was also addressed in Bulletin #1-206).
