                        Updated Novell Ethernet Drivers

Novell recently placed new operating system (OS) drivers and shell drivers for the NE1000, NE2000, and NE/2 network interface boards on NetWire.  

o	The new NE/2 and NE2000 Novell Ethernet drivers have AppleTalk support built in.  However, they can still be used in a non-AppleTalk environment.  

o	The NE2000 driver was updated to include support for multiple fragment transmissions of packets used by the current Macintosh VAPS.

o	The previous device drivers allowed the data buffer on an NE1000, NE2000, or NE/2 interface board to occasionally fill and overflow, causing performance degradation at the workstation.
 
o	The NE1000 O.S. drivers are dated 12/04/89.  The NE1000 shell driver is dated 12/27/89.

o	The NE2000 O.S. drivers are dated 11/29/89.  The NE2000 shell driver is dated 12/27/89.

o	The NE/2 O.S. and shell drivers are all dated 11/29/89.
