Autodesk Animator will premiere at SIGGRAPH '89. The newest product in the Autodesk family, a sophisticated desktop animation program named Autodesk Animator, will make its debut in August at the SIGGRAPH '89 show in Boston. The first program of its kind for PCs, Autodesk Animator will give users an array of paint tools for creating individual frames for video animation sequences. The frames can then be assembled into movies using professional animation techniques provided in the package. Because it can use AutoCAD Slide and AutoShade [320 x 200 x 256] VGA render files, Autodesk Animator will be ideal for animating design drawings to create vivid presentations. It will also be useful for a variety of other applications, from business presentations to video production. The software, which will cost less than $299, is designed to run on standard IBM PCs equipped with 640K of RAM and VGA graphics. To Exit animation press ESC.
