     Voodoo WordPerfect for Windows
     by: Lynn L Kauer

This is my kind of book! At $19.95 list it would be worth every
penny although it is available locally at a lower cost. The other
Voodoo books have a similar approach to the subject and they will
     definitely be in my library.

The best summarization of the book is presented by the author in the
introduction. I quote: "What makes them voodoo is that they get
results without your having to understand the theory behind them.
Instead of digging through the techno-jargon in books, you'll find
tips presented here in a format that lets you quickly find the ones
that apply to what you're doing, or what you'd like to do but never
had time to bother with before. These tricks also show off a few
things you can do that you probably never thought possible."
Although the book isn't laid out in a sequential manner, such as a
tutorial, it does partition itself into useful elements. Each
element is a chapter devoted to tips, tricks, and traps relative to
performing operations with the WordPerfect software. The writing
style is light and selected subjects are accompanied with screen
captures to help the reader understand what is being explained.
This book is great to keep in the royal carriage house (throne room).
I like to leaf thru it and pick up all sorts of tidbits I never
     imagined possible.

     For example:

Tip: WordPerfect for Windows has a built-in Convert Case command
that lets you change text from uppercase to lowercase and vice versa.
If a portion of your text has been entered as ALL CAPS this option
readily converts the text to lowercase.
