With NetMeeting you can experience true real-time application sharing at many levels,   You can make a file open to as many user's in the conference call as you like, and all users can take control or add to that file.  Alternatively you could use the Chat  application to have typed conversations which can then be saved to disk,  or use the Whiteboard application where people can type and draw in real-time over the net.
