As of this writing, there are ZERO known bugs. The original zip file was scanned with both PC Tools 2.0 virus scanner and the McAffee virus scanner (not the most recent version). Global Abbreviations is designed to run on Windows 3.1. While some testers have used it on "compatible" environments such as OS/2 2.1 and WFWG 3.11, I have not tested it enough to say that it works completely on any system other than Windows 3.1 Global Abbreviations does NOT make any changes to any files on the user's system, either during installation or execution. The installation program will replace older versions of the same VBX or DLL files if the information obtained via ver.dll indicates they are older. All VBX and DLL files contained in this package are unmodified copies of the most recent versions available from Microsoft or Crescent Software at the time the package was put together. Global Abbreviations has an uninstall feature to help the user remove the program from their system. The uninstaller will remove files that it safely can, and offer to print a list of those it cannot (eg. VBX and DLL files which may be required by other programs). The registration theory used in Global Abbreviations is that of "increasing nags." The program never becomes crippled, but after the 45 day trial period- the startup nag screen will pause for longer and longer periods. The operating philosophy is that most people are honest and will eventually register. The increasing delay in the nag is intended to motivate the honest user to finally get around to spending the few minutes required to send in their registration. I hope that this does not offend anybody and is accepted at face value as a legitimate motivational mechanism. -------File contents of globlabb.zip------------- commdlg.dl_ qpro200.dl_ setupkit.dl_ vbrun300.dl_ ver.dl_ globlabb.ex_ not_this.ex_ quiktour.ex_ setup.exe gab00001.ga_ gab00002.ga_ gab00003.ga_ gabhelp.hl_ setup.lst gabuser.se_ bbsnote.tx_ iquick.tx_ non_us.tx_ quick.tx_ readme.tx_ readme.txt cmdialog.vb_ cschk.vb_ csform.vb_ csopt.vb_ csspin.vb_ msgblast.vb_ qplist.vb_ threed.vb_
