MOONPO Version 2.2 contains a fix for the VERSION 2.1 bug that caused essential omission of "minutes" data in geographic locations. My face is really RED (an yellow from egg) on that one! This version also adds a couple of "goodies" for registered users who will get have option of saving "time of day" (year, month, day, start and stop hrs and increment) plus graph printing scale factors and offsets to the MYLOCALE.INI customizing file. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Major Changes Between MOONPO Versions 1.0 and 2.1: 1) The use of the external computation routine SOLUPO.DLL has been eliminated. 2) The command "View" has been added, and is used to draw rough sketches of the appearance of the bright and dark portions of the moon at various times of day and at various lunar phases. Those sketches may be saved as ".BMP", ".WMF", or ".WFM" format files if desired. 3) A Windows-style Help file (MOONHELP.HLP) replaces the "dialog" style help presentations of version 1.0. 4) Checks have been added to test for conditions which are at least similar to those which might result in solar or lunar eclipses. These checks may warn of "possible eclipses" which will not really occur, but will probably note all those which really will occur. That is, some "false alarms" are to be expected. Warnings should mainly alert you to the possibility of an eclipse and you should consult a high precision source to validate or falsify the MoonPo warnings. 5) The public distribution version will function only for years 1991 through 1994. To obtain versions usable for a wider range of years you must submit the registration fee listed in the MOONPO.DOC file.
