README for K-Free(tm) Version 5.11 - 02/11/94 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------- Updates and additions not included in the manual -------------- --- Fixes/additions for Version 5.11 --- 1) The font dialog has been modified to use the Windows 3.1 common font dialog. The benefit of using this dialog is that TrueType and Type 1 fonts are now supported by K-Free. 2) K-Free will now only run under Windows 3.1 or higher. This was done so that the resulting EXE would be faster. 3) A resource display bug was uncovered and subsequently fixed for Windows for Workgroups. --- Corrections to the Manual --- 1) Date Display, Page 10. The manual states that there are six (6) different date formats. It should state that there are five (5). 2) Date Display, Page 10. "Please turn to page 23 for more details" should state "Please turn to page 16 for more details." 3) Time Display, Page 10. "Please turn to page 23 for more details" should state "Please turn to page 16 for more details." --- Known problems --- There are no known problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ K-Free Upgrade Information -------------------------- If you have purchased K-Free in the past and have not received your upgrade letter please read PRODUCT.INF for information on upgrading from a previous version of K-Free. **** Differences between the shareware and retail versions of K-Free **** 1) The opening herald is different. In the retail version of K-Free the Herald does not speak to you and will dissapear automatically after 3 seconds.
