This is a gopher client runing on Microsoft Windows 3.1 system.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENT

  2. Windows Sockets (WINSOCK.DLL) v1.1 or above

INSTALLATION
------------

  1. Create a new directory for the gopher files.
  2. Copy WGOPHER.ZIP into the directory you created in step 
     #1.
  3. Use PKUNZIP.EXE to unpack WGOPHER.ZIP.
  4. Create the following directory for the temporary files:
               C:\WINDOWS\TEMP 
  5. Add the following environment variable to your AUTOEXEC.BAT
     file:
 	        SET TEMP=C:\WINDOWS\TEMP
  6. Run MS Windows and add Gopher for Windows as an item to a
     new or existing program group.

  The first time you run Gopher for Windows you will have to edit
  some of the configuration information and an initialization file
  WGOPHER.INI will be created into the working directory.
