Windows Real Algebra

Release 1.2 28 February 1992

System Requirements

A system running Windows Version 3, and a mouse

Files and Installation

This disc contains (at least):

alg.exe - the graph program
algebra.hlp	- the Windows help file for alg.exe
readme.txt	- this file

Simply copy alg.exe and algebra.hlp to a suitable directory. The Windows help file, algebra.hlp, should be in the same directory as alg.exe

Start Windows, then either File Run alg, or better, add a program item from the Program Manager (see Windows Help for details).

Late Features!!!

Not mentioned in the Help file is the 'superimpose' feature, which allows
a second expression to be graphed in the same window. The most obvious
use for this is in solving simultaneous equations and envelopes. It is also possible to say draw the derivative of a function, work out analytically an expression for this, and then superimpose to confirm.

Examples of how this package might be used are available in Pagemaker and Word For Windows formats.

If you make use of this package, I would be interested to know if this is for your study, teaching, any bugs or irritations you find, and any comments. I am working on software dealing with complex numbers and functions, including conformal transformations, and a real differential equation package. Please register by sending $30 to
