The PIPEDATA, HEATLOAD, HYDROFLO, and TOXIC systems have been provided on this disk
in an archived form in order to save space and to keep the files
together. In order to retrieve the files:

With a 2-floppy system:

  1) Put a blank (formatted) disk in the B: drive - See the inside back
cover of the Public Brand Software catalog for preparation information.

  2) At the A> prompt, issue the command PKXARC PIPEDATA B:

With a hard disk system:

  1) Prepare a subdirectory for the data C> MD\NEWDIR
(NEWDIR is any name you wish -
      or pick an existing subdirectory)

  2) Go to that new subdirectory C> CD\NEWDIR

  3) Issue the command C> A:PKXARC A:PIPEDATA

With a 1 floppy system:

  1) Prepare a blank (formatted) disk (WITH NO SYSTEM ON IT)

  2) Copy PKXARC.COM and PIPEDATA.ARC to the new disk this may involve
     some disk swapping.

     A> COPY PKXARC.COM B:
     A> COPY PIPEDATA.ARC B:

  3) Ending up with the new disk in the drive issue the command

     A> PKXARC PIPEDATA

Repeat the above for the other .ARC files on the disk.

The many documentation files on this disk can be identified by their
extensions of .DOC, .TXT, or names like README. These can be typed to
the screen with the TYPE command such as TYPE PDSL.TXT or copied
to the printer with the COPY command such as COPY PDSL.TXT PRN

-----------------

The documentation for HEATLOAD is the file HEAT.MNL
You should press the CAPS LOCK key before going into HEATLOAD since
it only recognizes capital letters.

---------------------------

In order to run the Basic language programs (with an extension of .BAS )
on this disk, you must first prepare a disk containing your BASIC
language interpretter program and these files. See your DOS manual if
this does not explain things.

     1) Format a blank disk as you normally do. We suggest that you
include the /S parameter in your format command so that the
disk will be bootable - ie will have the system on it. With
your system disk in the A: drive and a blank in the B: at the
        A> prompt, issue the command:

                A> FORMAT A: /S (TO A BLANK DISK!)

     2) Copy your Basic interpretter to this new disk. Issue the command:

                A> COPY BASIC*.* B:

Note that if you have GW-BASIC instead of a BASICA, then the
        above command would be:

                A> COPY GW*.* B:

     3) Replace the system disk in drive A: with the Public Brand
Software disk containing the Basic language program(s) and
        issue the command:

                A> COPY *.* B:

The Basic language programs can then be started by the command:

BASICA xxxxx where xxxxx is the Basic language program name.
