This is kbd-0.82.tar.gz (derived from Risto Kankkunen's kbd-0.81).
It contains keytable files and keyboard utilities compatible with
kernel version 0.99pl14 and probably some newer ones. In fact,
there are some features in this package, like the locking modifiers
and the compose key, that are not yet supported in version 0.99pl14,
but are hopefully in some future compatible version.
[Kernel patches for compose key support are included.]

This distribution contains no binaries - the sources try to adapt
to kernel version by using #ifdef for various ioctl's, so compile
them yourself.
To install this package, unpack it somewhere and issue the command
"make install". This copies the utilities to /usr/bin, man pages
to /usr/man/man{1,5} and keytable files to /usr/lib/keytables,
which is created if it doesn't already exist.
