There is a bug in yabbs that some people have discovered that kicks people
with old clients off and generates warnings for people with new clients. As
I don't have the time to fix this bug right now it will remain for the
near future (till fall at least). Don't report it to me, I'm not going to
do anything.

For once I would like the see the members of the yabbs communitity act like
intellegent adult humans. For a while it seemed like this was happening, but
once again the communitity is falling apart. If everyone argues and tries to
crash everyone else than there is really no reason to use the system. I know
that it is a small portion of the users that are making it hell for everyone
else, but that is true everywhere. Even a crime ridden city only has a small
percentage of real criminals.

So if someone is bugging you ignore them. They're just looking for some
way to have fun, and if you retaliate you're just giving them the fun that
they're looking for. Also don't forget that you can use /ignore to ignore
what they do in talk (pages and talks).

And don't complain about people to me. I'm not here to play Yabbs cop.
I just run the system. If running the system is going to start taking me
a lot of time than I will just take the system off line (which is trivial
for me to do). I know a lot of people like this system (I do too sometimes),
but it becomes a real hassle for me when everyone is trying to crash
everyone else and I start getting a ton of complaints.

If you have any questions about this policy or anything on yabbs send
me email (preferably internet email, I'll respond more quickly).

thanks,
