Status: Runs fine under Linux and (sometimes) SunOs
Requirements:	BSD or Linux, GNU CC++, Ingres89 or GNU awk

Description:	Onyx is a prototyping tool for database applications.

		If you use a single user Linux-Station (3sx + 4 MB RAM)
it can be fairly useable as a database client.

Onyx uses a own transaction monitor, so its posible
to connect to any sql-engine anywhere in the net.

Gawk, Informix, Ingres89 and Shql are supported engines.

Its posible to develop database applications at home
with a Linux-Station using gawk as a sql server.

But in a productivity enviroment Y'll need a faster sql
server. So its posible to use ingres89 under linux
or informix on a workstation. Other engines are easy
		to implement.

If Y need support ask for help.

ToDo: Rewriting sql & 4gl for 2.?? version is still not completed.

Support of other SQL vendors, to become useable in other
		enviroments than mine.

		DOCUMENTATION: more more more !

I've started to make documents for the
		different grammars. I've thinking about
starting a RFC to document, how my transaction
manager works, and to discuss which features
		Onyx-3 should include.

SqlGawk needs N:M relations and aggregates, SqlIngres
		needs aggregates.

Next engines will be postgres or obst.
