Did you ever want to mount a drive exported by Windows for Workgroups
or LanServer (LanMangager, or whatever)? Then this package is for you!

This is the third alpha release of my smbfs.

If you do not know the acronym smb, it is the protocol by which
wfw computers communicate, so you now can mount drives wfw exports to
you. You can obtain information on smb from nimbus.anu.edu.au in
/pub/tridge/samba/ .

This release of smbfs is based on userfs-0.7.1. This package contains
the essential parts of userfs, because I changed the protocol a
bit. This means, that you cannot use smbfs and another client of
userfs together.

(For the interested reader: You should look at the bottom of
smbfs/smbfs.c for a description of the problem I had. Maybe you have a
better solution.)

With this system you should be really careful, I could not really test
it under heavy conditions, like many processes connecting to it, or
really big filesystems.
