Program Description:
THE YELLOW DUSTER This story is partially based on a true account between a white man--with a yellow duster--who later gave it to an Indian to "settle war accounts"--and the problems that arose from the gift. The author presently lives in the areas where the story takes place. He changed SOME of the names of places to avoid offending present citizens of those towns and cities. Many of the characters are based on real people he presently knows or has known. Also, although most Apache's had singular names, based on some animal, or "thing"--the author took the liberty to give one of the Apache's the name of "Golden Sky"--based on his father's name--Golden--who was one-half Cherokee. He hopes the "living Apache's" don't mind his "literary license," OR the Cherokee's who may not appreciate "an Apache association." WARNING! "THE YELLOW DUSTER" CONTAINS MUCH CURSING, ABUSIVE LANGUAGE, VIOLENCE, DEGRADATION, AND MULTIPLE KILLINGS. IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN, AND SHOULD BE READ BY ADULTS ONLY.
