Internet Upload Service 17-Jan-94

What is the Internet Upload Service?

The Internet Upload Service is a service being offered by FLFSoft, Inc.
to authors who do not have a Internet connection, do not know how to
upload software to the Internet or do not have the time to upload to the
Internet. The Internet Upload Service is currently uploading to three
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) servers on the Internet:

ftp.cica.indiana.edu (MS-Windows programs only)
garbo.uwasa.fi (MS-DOS programs)
SimTel.Coast.net (MS-Windows and MS-DOS programs)
ftp.uwp.edu (Games archive)

What type of programs can be submitted?

Due to the nature of the Internet, authors must be aware that their
software is being distributed internationally. Do not submit programs
that are restricted in distribution by the United States Government or
restricted in distribution by copyright laws. You assume the
responsibility of your products being distributed internationally.

In order to reduce their costs, cica, garbo and SimTel create CD
collections of their software. In order to use the Internet Upload
Service you must grant CD distribution rights to ftp.cica.indiana.edu,
garbo.uwasa.fi and SimTel.Coast.net.

What is new with the Internet Upload Service?

The Internet Upload Service has added two new services to help our
customers with the distribution of their shareware products. First we
have added another ftp server to our service. We are proud to add
SimTel.Coast.net as an ftp site. SimTel is mirrored to over 47 sites
around the world.

If you uplod to SimTel, you have a choice about your upload annoucement.
If you would like your 'name up in lights', send the upload announcement
directly to SimTel (see instructions on UPLOAD.INS). If you would like
FLFSoft, Inc. to make the announcement for you, please complete item 3
below.

The second new service is a direct feed to the World Wide Web (WWW)
server at TheYellowPages.com (r). TheYellowPages.com (r) will provide
information about your program and give potential customers an easy
method to download your programs from the Internet. You may choose to
have your name and program information passed to TheYellowPages.com (r),
and it's FREE! For more information on TheYellowPages.com (r), see the
file README.WWW or contact TheYellowPages.com (r) directly.

The third new service is ftp.uwp.edu. ftp.uwp.edu maintains a game archive.
How do I sumbit my shareware?

1) Complete and sign the INTERNET.FRM.

NOTE: Sign the form only for the servers that you want your programs uploaded to.

2) Prepare a GARBO.FRM. (instructions are located in GARBO.INS) if you would
like your program uploaded to garbo.

NOTE: a seperate INTERNET.FRM and GARBO.FRM must be completed for
   each package submitted.

3) Prepare a SIMTEL.FRM. (instructions are located in SIMTEL.INS) if you would
like your program uploaded to SimTel. If you would like to submit the
announcment, e-mail SIMTEL.FRM to w8sdz@SimTel.Coast.NET on the Internet
   or on CompuServe to INTERNET:w8sdz@simTel.Coast.Net.

NOTE: if you would like FLFSoft, Inc. to make the announcement for you,
please include SIMTEL.FRM on your disk. If we do not find a SIMTEL.FRM
and you request distribution to SimTel, we will assume that you are
   making the annoucement.
